Front Page Elements[]

  • {{HeadingA}} generates a heading with the dark gradient background, with the heading text based on provided argument. It is a text-based alternative to {{HeadingBanner}}, and is not currently being used.
  • {{HeadingBanner}} generates a heading with the dark gradient background, and adds a PNG image with file name based on provided argument. It is a graphical alternative to {{HeadingA}}
  • {{Portal}} is used in the Character Portal page, and is used in conjunction with Tabber. It creates the character box and colors it appropriately, and also adds a picture, character name, and link to the character page based on provided arguments. Only change if you need to change the size (currently 200 pixels) of each picture.

Inline Article Layout[]

  • {{Character}} provides the infobox for the characters
  • {{Comic}} provides the infobox for the comics issues
  • {{Questions}} adds a warning on answered questions.  It should be placed after the Questions heading, but before the Answered Questions subheading.
  • {{Answer}} is used on the dedicated Answered Questions page. Its function is to place the answer in a spoiler box that needs user interaction to view. If you wish to change the colors of the spoiler box, "show" trigger that expands the box, and the spoiler text, change this template.
  • {{SPEC}} causes any text arguments added to be colored green, and give a popup saying the text is speculatory and is not officially confirmed. Currently not being used.
  • {{Scroll box}} encloses any text arguments inside a scrollable box. Use this to save vertical page space.

Navigation[]

  • {{Issuenav}} contains the navigation bar.  It is invoked by {{Comic}}
  • {{IssuenavParse}} populates {{Issuenav}} with issue-relevant data.  It needs occasional editing once new arc titles are released

Notices[]

  • {{Delete}} adds the current article to the Candidates for deletion category, and adds an explanation at the point of insertion on the article.
  • {{Disambig}} adds a explanation about a disambiguation page, at the point of insertion on the article.
  • {{Images}} indicates that the page needs more images, at the point of insertion on the article. It also adds the current article to the Articles needing images category.
  • {{Speculation}} adds a warning about speculative sections, at the point of insertion on the article. Recommended for use on pages about newly-released issues.
  • {{Spoiler}} adds a warning about potential spoilers, at the point of insertion on the article. Recommended for use on pages about newly-released issues.
  • {{Stub}} indicates that the page needs to be expanded, at the point of insertion on the article. It also adds the current article to the Article stubs category.
  • {{Notice}} provides the skeletal structure that is used in all the other notices. Edit this to automatically change the structure of the other notices.

Referencing[]

  • {{Ref}} allows the quick creation of references in wiki pages.  This must be updated constantly on a per-issue basis. It has deprecated the old {{Iref}} template.
  • {{Issue list}} works in tandem with {{Appear}} to generate appearances for characters or objects.  It must be updated as new issues come out.
  • {{Issue/List}} provides a translation from issue numbers to "Morning Glories" + issue numbers. This was stolen from the Young Justice wiki, so I'm not sure if it's required here.
  • {{Reflist}} adds a list of references, and should be placed near the end of every wiki page that contains references. It is capable of creating multiple columns if the proper argument is included when calling the template.
  • {{Appear}} allows the generation of a quick list of issue appearances for each character or object.  It provides a skeletal structure, and retrieves data from {{Issue list}}. If the number of appearances is over fifteen, or if the proper argument is provided, the appearances are immediately enclosed in a scroll box via {{Scroll box}}.
  • {{Appear/sidenote}} is responsible for adding the superscript text (if the character appears as a picture, in a flashback, a dream, a hallucination, and so on) when called upon by the {{Appear}} template. This template should be updated once the issues exceed 100.
